# Career Opportunities at the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda)
The Regional Development Planning Agency, widely known as Bappeda, serves as the primary technical institution responsible for the research, strategy, and formulation of regional development initiatives. Operating under the direct authority of the Governor, Regent, or Mayor—and coordinated through the Regional Secretary—the agency plays a pivotal role in shaping the administrative and economic landscape of the region. Much like the historical evolution of the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency, which transitioned from its inception as the Tax Affairs Office in 1952 into a sophisticated modern administrative body, Bappeda continues to adapt its organizational structure to meet contemporary governance challenges.
To maintain operational excellence, Bappeda is currently seeking highly motivated professionals to join its specialized teams. We are committed to fostering talent that can drive innovation and efficiency within our planning and data infrastructure.
