Job Description

# Shaping the Future of Energy: Career Opportunities at Chevron Pacific Indonesia

Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI), a subsidiary of the global energy giant Chevron, stands as a cornerstone of Indonesia’s oil and gas sector. With a history spanning nearly a century, the company—formerly known as Caltex Pacific Indonesia—has been instrumental in powering the nation’s industrial growth. From its roots as a joint venture between Standard Oil Company of California and Texas Oil Company in 1924, CPI evolved into the largest oil contractor in the country, achieving a monumental production milestone of over 2 billion barrels.

The company’s legacy is defined by its discovery of the Minas field in 1944. Hailed as the largest oil field in Southeast Asia, the Minas asset remains famous for producing the high-quality, low-sulfur Sumatra Light Crude (SLC). Today, CPI continues to operate across key regions in Riau, including Dumai, Duri, Minas, and Rumbai, while increasingly pivoting toward geothermal energy and lower-carbon initiatives to meet the world’s changing energy demands.
