Microsoft Indonesia is actively seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician, functioning as a Logistics Specialist, to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our data center infrastructure, ensuring seamless inventory flow, meticulous asset management, and adherence to the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician, your contributions will encompass a broad spectrum of critical activities designed to optimize our data center logistics:
* Safety & Security Adherence
* Rigorously comply with all established security protocols and data management policies.
* Promptly report and escalate any security or safety incidents to relevant stakeholders.
* Coordinate essential security escorts for third-party vendors accessing secure areas.
* Operational Execution & Shift Management
* Execute assigned tasks with precision, escalating complex issues during periods of high operational volume or critical escalations.
* Leverage comprehensive process knowledge and sound judgment to independently complete tasks without constant supervision.
* Inbound and Outbound Logistics Management
* Orchestrate and execute all aspects of incoming and outgoing deliveries, including Purchase Order (PO) receiving and Rack Movement Supervisor (RMS) activities.
* Ensure proper application of customs documentation and adherence to international standards for all outbound packages.
* Maintain detailed and accurate physical inventory tracking and staging records.
* Exceptional Customer Service
* Exhibit a strong understanding of how individual tasks impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency when managing tickets and Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
* Guarantee the accurate completion of all IAM tasks, meeting both internal company policies and industry best practices.
* Cultivate robust and collaborative working relationships with all internal and external customers.
* Comprehensive Inventory Management
* Maintain precise and current logical information across various inventory management systems, such as configuration management databases and asset management repositories.
* Conduct regular inventory cycle audits, perform necessary data corrections, and participate in various data center regulatory compliance or certification control audits.
* Manage material movement processes, encompassing shipping, receiving, and internal inventory transfers, strictly adhering to standard operating procedures.
* Ensure meticulous physical inventory tracking and staging across all operations.
* Warranty Process & Returns Management
* Initiate warranty claims directly with suppliers when automated systems are unavailable and process subsequent orders.
* Efficiently process failed vendor hardware devices using online or alternative tools, including information capture, packaging, shipment, and confirmation of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) device receipt.
* Strictly adhere to all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) pertinent to the RMA warranty process.
* Data Bearing Device (DBD) Destruction
* Perform the secure destruction of Data Bearing Devices (DBDs) in full compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies.
* Verify that the DBD serial number precisely matches corresponding database records.
* Coordinate with and meticulously oversee any third-party vendors engaged in DBD destruction.
* Procurement Support
* Proactively notify management regarding any stock shortages to facilitate timely replenishment.
* Escalate any significant procurement-related issues to management for resolution.

Required Qualifications
Microsoft welcomes applications from candidates who meet the following essential criteria:
* A Bachelor's degree coupled with at least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse/supply chain environment within information technology (IT), inventory management, retail, or a related field.
* OR an equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates comparable proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, candidates possessing the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
* Two (2) or more years of experience in a warehouse/supply chain capacity within an information technology (IT) environment, general IT, and/or logistics, specifically operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) within a large corporate setting.
* OR an equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates comparable proficiency.
Background Check Requirements
Meeting Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is a prerequisite for this role. These specialized security screenings include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position mandates passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and successfully completing it every two years thereafter.
