# Professional Internship and Vocational Training Opportunities at the DPR RI Secretariat General
The Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) is committed to bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world professional practice. Through the Center for Legislative HR Competency Development, we offer structured Internship and Vocational Training (PKL) programs designed to equip university students and high school/vocational students with the practical skills necessary for a successful career within a legislative environment.
## Program Definitions
* Regular Internship: Tailored for university students to apply their academic knowledge to professional tasks within the Secretariat General.
* Vocational Training (PKL): Designed for high school and vocational students to gain foundational exposure to office operations and professional workplace culture.
## Application Requirements
To be considered for these programs, candidates must fulfill specific documentation criteria.
For University Interns
* Internal recommendation letter from the chosen unit within the DPR RI Secretariat General.
* Official cover letter from the university addressed to the Head of the Center for Legislative HR Competency Development (including goals, schedule, and selected topic).
* Academic records: Study Plan Card (KRS) and updated Transcripts.
* Current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
* Two 2x3 cm passport-sized photographs with a red background.
* Photocopy of Student ID or National ID (KTP).
* Motivation letter detailing personal strengths, weaknesses, core competencies, internship goals, and the preferred work unit.
For Vocational (PKL) Students
* Internal recommendation letter from the target work unit.
* Formal introduction letter from the school addressed to the Head of the Center for Legislative HR Competency Development.
* Current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
* Two 2x3 cm photographs with a red background.
* Photocopy of student ID card or official school recommendation letter.
## Internship Periods and Scheduling
The standard duration for all participants is one month, with the possibility of an extension of up to two months, subject to unit head approval. We operate on a quarterly batch system:
* Batch I: January 1 – March 31
* Batch II: April 1 – June 30
* Batch III: July 1 – September 30
* Batch IV: October 1 – December 31
## Application and Operational Workflow
All applications must be submitted via our online portal. If applying as a group, each member must complete an individual form. Applications must be finalized at least 30 calendar days before the start date. Successful applicants will be notified via WhatsApp Business within 14 working days.
Onboarding Process
On the first day, participants must report to the Managerial and Socio-Cultural Competency Development Division (Room 412, 4th Floor, Secretariat General Building) to collect their official ID badges.
Conduct and Professional Standards
All participants are expected to embody the "BERAKHLAK" core values—Service-Oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative. Mandatory standards include:
* Adopting the 5S culture (Smile, Greet, Salute, Polite, and Courteous).
* Adhering to a formal dress code (collared shirts, dress pants, and formal shoes).
* Strict office hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00–16:00 WIB) and Friday (08:00–16:30 WIB).
* Maintaining active participation and notifying supervisors in the event of an absence.
## Completion and Certification
Upon finishing the program, participants must report their departure via our digital portal. Required documentation includes a completion notice from the assigned unit, a final performance evaluation, personal testimonials, and a summary report. Digital certificates will be issued within 20 working days following the submission of these documents.
